Young woman murdered in Nogales

NOGALES, SONORA, MX.- State authorities confirmed the murder of María Zulema Gómez Zazueta, whose body was found last Wednesday South of Nogales, near Corredor Fiscal highway.

She was reported lost on Friday, May 21 around 4:00 p.m. which is when relatives lost all contact. The last time she was seen was in the Monarca Residencial neighborhood in Nogales.

Family and friends released information on social media of their efforts to locate the young woman.

Police received a report of a body located near Corredor Fiscal

On Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. state police officers received an anonymous report on 911 telling them about a body located in South Nogales, near Corredor Fiscal Highway.

The officers arrived at the reported site and they located the body of a young woman identified hours later as María Zulema.
