Temporary Closure of Trusted Traveler Programs Extended

TUCSON, ARIZONA, US – US Customs authorities have extended the temporary closure for enrollment centers to trusted traveler programs like Sentri, Global, Fast, and Nexus.

The temporary closure will be in effect through at least June 1, 2020 as a precautionary measure to minimize exposure of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel to Covid-19.

CBP confirmed in a statement that the temporary closure applies to all publicly accessible Global Entry enrollment centers, Nexus enrollment centers, Sentri enrollment centers, and FAST enrollment locations.

Global Entry mobile enrollment events are also paused until further notice.

Conditionally approved applicants seeking an interview at the Enrollment Center must reschedule for a date after June 1.

“These applicants are encouraged to check their email accounts and the Trusted Traveler program for more information. CBP will continue to monitor the situation to resume the enrollment center interviews as soon as possible“, CBP announced.
