Near 30,000 Bullet Cargo Seized

NOGALES, ARIZONA, US – US Customs authorities intercepted the transfer into Mexico of 28 thousand 950 bullets, most of them for Ak-47 rifles.

The case was confirmed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

This seize occurred a day after the Mexican military also reported the seizure of 10,000 cartridges at the Recinto Fiscal customs facility in Nogales, Mexico.

The shipment of almost thirty thousand bullets was being transported in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee and confiscated in Nogales, Arizona.

The cargo was not even hidden, it was located in the trunk area inside the original boxes, as well as on the seat and floor of the passenger side.
