Stopped for Running a Stop Sign, Arrested for Possession

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SONORA, MEXICO – A man was arrested in possession of narcotics when he was stopped for running a stop sign in the Reforma neighborhood.

According to official reports, the detainee was identified as 33-year-old Ramon N, who was traveling in a gold-colored Nissan, Sentra.

The detainee ignored a stop sign on 30th Street, and officials from the State Public Security Police (PESP) pulled him over.

During the inspection, 9 wrappers of a granulated substance were found in his clothes, and a bag of marijuana was found in the cupholder.

Due to possession of the substances, the State Police informed Ramon N about his rights and put him at the disposal of the corresponding Public Ministry for the legal process.
