Decomposing Body and Skeleton Remains Found on Friday

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – A decomposing body and skeleton remains were found during Friday in different areas of Nogales.

The skeleton remains were found at 4:55 pm. Local authorities were informed that human bone remains were found in the western part of Puesta del Sol neighborhood and about two kilometers south of the international border.

Authorities were dispatched to the scene where they met with a person member of the group Searching Mothers (Madres Buscadoras) team, they had located the remains while conducting one of the proactive searches.

Authorities confirmed that it was the remains of a human skeleton, also finding a pair of shorts, and briefs.

Second finding

Later that day, at 7:50 pm, local authorities were alerted that there were foul odors coming out of a home located on Ignacio Alatorre street, in Lomas de Nogales neighborhood.

When they entered the main door they saw a human body in a state of decomposition lying on the bed. Authorities cordoned off the domicile and followed with the necessary procedures.

A 62-year-old witness, Luis Alfonso, said to the police officers that he received a phone call from a neighbor named Santiago, saying that foul smells were coming from his house.

The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Ernesto, whom according to reports was a drug user.
