Ammunition and Drugs Found

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – Between the Villa Sonora and Colinas del Sol neighborhoods, National Guard members found a rifle, cartridges, magazines, and narcotics.

According to police reports, the seizure was at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, when officers were patrolling the Southern area of the city.

At the end of Villa Sonora Street, in the Colinas del Yaqui neighborhood, they located a black Chevrolet Silverado.

The car did not have a theft report, but upon detecting signs of the presence of weapons, officers carried out an inspection.

Inside the car, authorities found dozens of 12-caliber and Ak-47 cartridges, as well as more than 100 cartridges and four .223 caliber magazines. They also found a 5.56 caliber rifle and approximately 100 grams of crystal meth.
