Woman Escapes Moving Taxi

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – A woman jumped out of a moving taxi after the driver refuses to take her to the address she provides and refuses to let her get out.

The taxi driver, identified as Jesus Ricardo N, was detained thanks to a civilian who held him while the authorities arrived. The taxi car was from the taxi company “Luciano Club’’.

Wednesday at 1:30 pm while patrolling Valladolid street, in the neighborhood Pueblitos, local police saw two people fighting.

Police officers separated the men and one of them, identified as 33-year-old Jesus, stated that he was trying to detain the other individual because he saw a woman throw herself out of the moving car.

Both men were taken to the nearest police station where the affected woman was. The victim stated that at 1:00 pm in the neighborhood Brisa, she stopped the taxi and boarded requesting drop off at the stadium.

But the taxi driver instead drove through several streets and then headed to the West of the city, towards Pueblitos neighborhood.

The passenger asked him several times to stop but the driver refused.

In a curve, on Lucio Blanco street, in Los Encinos neighborhood, the woman was able to escape by jumping out of the moving car. The driver was arrested and is under investigation.
