Woman attacked by expartner in Nogales, Sonora

NOGALES.- A woman was violently attacked by expartner with a gun.

A man is arrested after a couple accused him of attacking them with gunshots.

The detained is identified as German N and was turned to the state authorities.

The case was reported on Sunday midnight when residents of the Solidaridad neighborhood called on the authorities because they heard gunshots on Calle Dos.

Police secured the area

When the officers arrived on the scene, other agents had already arrived and secured the area.

While onsite, the agents received another report about gunshots on San Martin Street, in the San Miguel neighborhood.

Woman took refuge in the neighborhood

While at San Martin Street, they encountered a 21-year-old woman, who reported that on her way home and while accompanied by a man, they were approached by a suspect and her ex-partner aboard a Pontiac Vibe.

She reported that the suspect shot a gun in their direction and then fled aboard the car to take refuge in a house in that same neighborhood.

While authorities were at the scene, the alleged aggressor returned, and was arrested by local authorities.
