Whetstone Receives New Credit Investment for Supply and Distribution of Water
WHETSTONE, ARIZONA, US – A non-refundable credit for investment in supply and distribution system of water, was authorized by the North American Development Bank (NADB) for the benefit of the small town of Whetstone.
The bank joined the Whetstone Water Improvement District Council and its staff in celebrating the completion of improvements to the drinking water supply and distribution system.
The NADB confirmed that the project will increase access to a sustainable drinking water service and ensure the sufficiency of water supply to almost 1,000 Whetstone residents through the Community Support Program (PAC).
In June 2018, NADB included the construction of a new well and the installation of a complementary interconnection.
With these improvements, the District can provide increased service reliability to 459 existing domestic outlets, as well as reduce low-pressure incidents and eliminate service interruption.
