Vehicle Stolen in Tucson Found in Nogales With Ammunition

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – A rifle and more than 120 ammunition, were found by state and military authorities inside an abandoned vehicle with a report of theft in the city of Tucson.

The case occurred Monday afternoon when the Mexican Army and the State Public Security Police agents were on patrol along Avenida De Los Maestros.

At the junction with Chimenea street, they found an abandoned GMC Suburban, they checked the serial number and found an active stolen vehicle report filed on August 17, 2018, in Tucson.

When they check the inside of the car they saw a .223 rifle inside, 5 magazines, and around 120 ammunition.

Authorities secured the vehicle and turned it over to federal authorities for investigation.
