USCIS to Start Face To Face Attention After June 4
NATIONAL – The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are preparing to start face-to-face attention starting on or after June 4, as determined by the United States Federal Government.
While face-to-face services were suspended on March 18 at the field offices, asylum, and applicant support center as a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19, some online services continue to be provided.
In a statement from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), it was reported that employees in these offices continue to provide essential services that do not require face-to-face contact with the public while the offices are closed.
USCIS field offices will send out notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments and naturalization ceremonies affected by the extended temporary closure.
USCIS asylum offices will send interview cancellation notices and automatically reschedule asylum interviews.
When the interview is rescheduled, asylum seekers will receive a new interview notice with the new time, date, and location of the interview.
When USCIS resumes operations for in-person services, USCIS will automatically reschedule ASC appointments due to the temporary closure of the office.
People will receive a new appointment letter in the mail.
Those who had InfoPass or other appointments must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center once the field offices are open to the public again. Check if the respective office has reopened before calling the Contact Center.
