US Embassy Renews Travel Alert to Mexico for Covid_19

MEXICO – The U.S. Embassy in Mexico renewed the health alert for #Covid19 on Wednesday, where #Sonora is already included as one of the states with the most hospital occupation.

The Embassy indicates that the number of confirmed and suspected cases continues to increase daily in various regions of Mexico.

Mexico City, Mexico State, Puebla, Guanajuato and Tabasco currently report the highest rate of confirmed active cases in the past two weeks.

The states that currently report the highest hospital occupancy rate are the State of Mexico, Mexico City, Sonora, Tlaxcala and Tabasco.

They also remember that there are currently options for international commercial flights in Mexico, but flights to the United States have been reduced by almost 80%.

“American citizens who want to return to the United States should make arrangements with commercial airlines as soon as possible unless they are prepared to stay abroad for an indefinite period of time,” they remarked.
