Two Suspects Flee and Abandon a Backpack With Drugs and Weapons
NOGALES, SONORA, MX – The seizure of over 250 doses of marijuana, cocaine, crack, and crystal meth, as well as replicas of two firearms, was obtained on Thursday by a team of National Guard members in a residential area of Nogales.
The incident occurred at 9:00 am as the National Guard patrolled Luis Donaldo Colosio street.
At the entrance to the Canoas Housing Complex they observed two individuals who, when seeing the authorities, tried to hide.
The suspects broke into an abandoned building located between Crepusculo and Canoas streets.
They were unable to stop them but found a backpack.
Upon reviewing it, they found the replica of a 4.5 millimeter pistol, as well as a “Uzzi” type rubber bullet marker.
In addition to 70 doses of a substance with the characteristics of cocaine, 55 of crystal, 15 with crack, and 116 portions of marijuana. A black canvas holster for a squad-type pistol was also located.
