Diplomatic relations with Joe Biden as good as they were with Donald Trump, said Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador

MEXICO CITY.- The President of Mexico Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said that the diplomatic relations with Joe Biden are as good as they were with ex-president Donald Trump.

“It is the same, with President Donald Trump we built a very good relationship and it is the same now with Biden, it has not changed, there is nothing that we could say that is different for worse, or for better”, said Lopez Obrador in his morning conference.

He recognizes that, like in every bilateral relation, there were difficult moments because above all both countries share a border of 3,180 kilometers and the immigration phenomenon and other security issues.

“But there is a good relation of understanding and this is good for both nations, for both countries”, explained the Mexican mandatory

Lopez Obrador celebrates the decisions related to immigration that president Biden has taken.

“For example the recognition of the (permanent) residence for over 10 million immigrants, the regularization on his migration status including of course our citizens, it was a very important step”, explained.
