Three Men Detained for Drug Possession
NOGALES, SONORA, MX.- Three men in possession of several doses of illegal drugs were captured by the National Guard in operations carried out in urban areas of the city.
The detainees were identified as Omar, Alejandro, Hugo Alberto and Daniel, aged 27, 39, and 34. They had 182 doses of marijuana and 6 of cocaine.
They were detained when elements of the National Guard were patrolling the Vicente Guerrero and Adolfo Ruiz Cortines streets, in the Municipal neighborhood.
All are suspected of selling drugs and were referred to the State Attorney General’s Office.
Just two days ago, on Calle De la Isla, near the National Cemetery, the National Guard seized 228 doses of marijuana, 500 of cocaine, 222 of crack and 299 of crystal methamphetamine.
The narcotics were located inside a backpack that a subject threw on the ground while trying to flee.
