The United States Vice President and the Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Visit Arizona on Wednesday

PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – United States Vice President, Mike Pence, and the Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Chad F. Wolf will be in Arizona this Wednesday.

Federal officials will meet with Arizona Governor Doug Ducey to discuss the efforts of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to support actions against Covid-19.

DHS reported that they hope to continue coordinating with Arizona and the rest of the Country’s state and local partners to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

On Tuesday, Ducey met with Deborah Birx who serves as the Coronavirus Response Coordinator.

The official is recognized for her experience of more than three decades in epidemiology, who even led the fight against the HIV / AIDS epidemic and has received international recognition for her work in immunology.
