Stopped for Tinted Windows, Arrested for 10,000 Fentanyl Pills

SANTA ANA, SONORA, MEXICO – Two people were caught by elements of the National Guard in possession of approximately 10,000 fentanyl pills.

The detection occurred in the vicinity of the municipality of Trincheras, on the Santa Ana-Altar highway. The National guards noticed a circulating with tinted windows which is prohibited in that municipality.

After stopping the car and informing the driver of the traffic violation (tinted windows), they realized that the co-pilot was trying to hide a plastic bag in the back seat.

Inside the plastic bagg there were several packages of small wrappers with the pills.

To continue the investigations, the two people, were turned at the disposal of the Federal Attorney’s Office.
