Stopped for Speeding and Arrested for Possession

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SONORA – In possession of 16 marijuana wraps and 10 of other unidentified narcotics, a resident of San Luis Rio Colorado was detained by state police officers.

Jose N of 35 years of age was driving a pick up Chevrolet Silverado above the speed limit in a commercial area and was pulled over by officials of the Public Safety State Police (PESP).

Upon being searched, they found 6 wrappers with a granulated substance, and 4 wrappers with a dark paste-like substance on his body. They also found a backpack inside the vehicle containing 16 wrappers with marijuana.

The suspect will be criminally prosecuted on drug charges.
