Several Vehicles Stolen in Arizona Found South of the Border

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – In three separate incidents, Public Safety State Police (PESP) finds stolen vehicles in Nogales and Imuris containing ammunition and weapons inside. 

According to information by state authorities, one of the incidents was last Friday.

During the dispatch to the International Highway, officers found an abandoned gray Jeep 2014 near the ranch T.B. The vehicle had a stolen asset report from November 26, 2019, in Pima, Arizona.

In a separate incident that same day, on the streets of Milan and Florence, in Jardines de la Montaña neighborhood, they saw a man throw away an object when he saw the authorities.

Investigating, they saw it was a 5.56 mm caliber rifle with a magazine and 29 useful cartridges. The objects were secured and transferred to the corresponding Public Ministry.

In a third incident, a Chevrolet Tahoe with a theft report since January 27, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona, was recovered on a dirt road that leads Nogales to Sasabe.

Inside the vehicle was a 5.56 mm caliber firearm with 4 magazines and 82 rounds of ammunition for a rifle type gun.
