Sentenced For Second-Degree Murder
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – A resident of Fort Defiance, Arizona, was sentenced to 17.5 years in prison for the crime of second-degree murder.
The sentenced is 25-year-old Lodi Gene Bitsie II, according to information from the Department of Justice in the District of Arizona.
The case occurred on April 7, 2019, when Bitsie started an argument with the victim, and moments later he starts to hit and attack with a knife. The victim died moments later. The crime occurred in Fort Defiance on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation.
Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were in charge of the investigation that resulted in the capture of Bitsie. Bitsie is a member of the Navajo Nation, as was the victim.
