Senior Adults Caught With Almost One Ton of Marijuana
SONOYTA, SONORA, US – Two seniors adults, allegedly residing in the United States, were arrested in possession of nearly a ton of marijuana.
According to information from the Attorney General’s Office, the detainees were identified as Luis T and Agustín A.
Authorities obtained an order to link the suspects to legal federal process and obtain preventive detention against the two people for their probable responsibility in committing a drug crime.
The seize occurred in the downtown area of the Sonoyta, Sonora border when National Guard (@GN_MEXICO_) personnel detained the two seniors for inspection. They were traveling in a mobile home with Arizona license plates.
Authorities located 137 packages that combined contained 890 kilos of marijuana.
