Second Day of Crossfire in Magdalena

MAGDALENA DE KINO, SONORA, MX – Another shooting in this afternoon causes terror in Magdalena de Kino Sonora.

The death of the former mayor of Magdalena and current member of the city council, Alfonso Robles is confirmed during crossfire in an armed confrontation near the toll booth from Nogales to Magdalena. According to authorities, the former mayor was traveling from Nogales back to Magdalena.

This is the second consecutive day of crossfire in Magdalena. The situation of violence has terrified the community of this “Pueblo Magico” (Magical Town) after the series of violent events that have occurred.
