President Donald Trump Trying to Attract LatinX Population
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – President Donald Trump has recently started to focus on the Latino population, trying to paint a better picture for the Hispanic voters.
The latino vote could be fundamental in the most contested states and define the race towards the White House.
As part of his strategy, the current president highlighted the progress that this community had until shortly before the coronavirus pandemic began.
His team is increasingly optimistic that he has gained support in states like Arizona, Florida, and Nevada, despite a history of derogatory comments he has made about Latinos, and more specifically Mexicans.
Trump, the Republican party candidate for the Presidency of the United States, participated in a round table with the Latino community in Las Vegas, hours before a night rally.
“They understand the situation on the southern border. They want people to come, and I do too, but they want them to come in accordance with the law,” Trump told a small group of supporters in Las Vegas.
Biden Doesn’t Attract Latinos ??
He sated that the Democratic candidate for the United States Presidency, Joe Biden, has not done enough to attract hispanic voters.
And adds that his running mate, California Senator Kamala Harris, didn’t do much to appeal to Florida’s growing and influential Hispanic population during a visit to the state last week.
Biden “has not set foot” in Arizona or Nevada during his presidential campaign, which for the most part has been carried out virtually due to the pandemic.
