Police to Strengthen Removal of People from Public Places
Nogales, Sonora, Mexico –
Municipal Preventive Police will strengthen the strategies for removing and discouraging people from being at public spaces. They will do this to enforce new Coronavirus protection measures for citizens.
Alberto López Rodríguez, Public Safety Commissioner, reported that part of these initiatives is the placement of checkpoints on streets visited more frequently, as well as at the entrances and exits of recreational centers.
They also announced that motorists who violate sanitary measures will be removed from circulation and fined.
“Many people have not understood that this contingency period is to stay at home, it is not vacation time as many people are irresponsibly doing; that is why we decided to toughen up the measures for preventing the spread of the disease”, he explained.
