Phoenix Resident Caught Smuggling Drugs in Spare Tire
TUCSON, ARIZONA, US – A Phoenix resident was arrested in possession of various types of drugs that he concealed in the spare tire of his car.
The case happened on Monday outside of Gila Bend, at the immigration checkpoint on State Highway 85.
According to CBP press release, the motorist was driving a Ford Explorer that Border Patrol agents select for a second inspection.
Inside the spare tyre the agents located 31.78 kilos of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine and heroin with an estimated value of 600,000 dollars.
The driver was a 39-year-old Phoenix resident who was arrested.
