Over 68,000 Dollars Seized
NOGALES, SONORA, MEXICO – Mexican National Guard captured a US citizen entering Mexico hiding $68,250 in cash.
According to the official report by authorities, the case occurred in one of the border crossing ports of Nogales.
During a random inspection of the vehicle driven by the suspect, Mexican Customs agents found a pair of plastic bags with US dollars hidden under the seats.
He was also carrying bundles of money underneath his clothes.
The suspect was unable to verify where the money came from, therefore he was arrested and the money was seized.
The case will be picked up by the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic.
