Over 400 Infected of Covid-19 in One Day
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA – Within two days of starting the gradual opening of businesses, Arizona reported 402 new patients infected with Covid-19 and 18 deaths.
The cumulative is 8,364 infections and 348 deaths, according to the Arizona Department of Health and Social Services.
77% of deaths have occurred in people 65 years of age or older; 14% in people from 55 to 64 years old; 6% between 45 and 54 years old and 3% between 20 and 44 years old.
In Maricopa County 154 deaths have been documented and 89 in Pima. No deaths have occurred in Santa Cruz and Cochise counties.
The majority of infections have occurred in Maricopa County with a total of 4,421. Pima has 1,300 infections, Santa Cruz 34, and Cochise 39.
The rest of the infected people are located in the rest of the counties. To date, a total of 83,792 tests have been applied.
