Operativo Metro Surge del ICE deja 400 detenidos en Minnesota
MINNESOTA.- Más de 400 personas presuntamente con antecedentes penales graves, fueron detenidas durante un operativo especial de ICE.
El Departamento de Seguridad Nacional confirmó que, como parte de Operation Metro Surge, agentes federales realizaron arrestos en varias ciudades de Minnesota.
De acuerdo con ICE, el objetivo del operativo fue localizar y detener a personas sin estatus legal con condenas previas por delitos violentos e inapropiados, muchos de ellos con órdenes finales de deportación desde hace años.
Las autoridades señalan que estas personas permanecían en libertad debido a políticas locales que limitan la cooperación con agencias federales.
Entre los detenidos hay individuos condenados por agresiones graves y algunos con historial en distintos estados.
