Nogales: Two Injured by Gunshot and One Dead in the Last 48 Hours

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – In the last 48 hours in Nogales, two men are injured by gunshot while one more man is killed, and the body abandoned East of the city.

The first case occurred on Monday at 9:00 am, when local police officers were alerted that a man was being treated for gunshot injury at the General Hospital.

The victim, 29-year-old Carlos N narrated to the Police that when walking down on Dos Oeste Street, near the “Carmelita’’ store, a man walked up to him, demanded him to hand over his cell phone, and shot him in the right ankle.

The attacker fled while the wounded man went to the General Hospital by his own means, where he was admitted.

Second Gunshot Injury

The second case was at 1:17 pm, on Miramar street, in the Los Tapiros neighborhood, where police officers received a report related to a gunshot victim.

At the scene, police officers located 33-year-old Alan N who suffered to gunshot wounds in the posterior area.

The details about how the male was injured had not been revealed at the time of this article.

A Body is Found

On Sunday at 1:12 am, local authorities found the body of a man at the end of Primavera Street, in the Lomas de Nogales 1 neighborhood.

The identity of the victim had not been revealed at the time of this article. The body was a male of robust complexion, with a height of 1.70 meters. His face was covered with a gray shirt, and his body had several injuries.
