Nogales Police Officers Save Two Lives
NOGALES, SONORA, MX – For their bravery and commitment to their duty, two local police officers received recognition for saving two lives during a house fire.
Beatriz Jorqueras Saiz and Erick Encinas risked their lives to save Silvia, an elderly woman of 65 years of age, and 27-year-old Adan Humberto.
They were rescued from a burning house located on Simon Bolivar Street, 1053, during the early hours on Friday.
“You feel a great responsibility to do everything in our power because if God put us in the exact moment and time, it is because we can do a lot for those who need our help,” said agent Jorqueras Saiz.
The two people rescued were admitted to a local hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.
Local Police Chief, Alberto Lopez thanked the agents for their high level of service, stating that they are worthy representatives of the institution where they work.
