Nogales Community Mourns After Four Year Old Boy is Beaten To Death

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – The Nogales community was in mourning over the weekend for the tragic death of a four-year-old boy. The mother’s romantic partner is the main suspect of the crime.

On Saturday, June 6 at 2:47 pm, the boy’s body was found wrapped in a bag of dog food and left inside a ditch. The body was located in the street Municipio de Bacanora, in the neighborhood Pueblo Nuevo.

Boy was killed the day before

The child’s mother, identified as 36-year-old Nora from the state of Sinaloa, told the Police that on June 5 at 4:40 pm, she arrived at her home and asked her partner about her son.

Her partner, identified as 37-year-old Luis Fernando N, from Mazatlan Sinaloa, said that the boy was at a friend’s house. He also said he had called the friend’s house but was told that the boy was asleep, so it would be best to pick him up the next day.

The following day, Saturday, June 6 at 7:00 am, Nora asked his partner to go pick up her son, but her partner was silent. At that point, the mother began to suspect that something was wrong.

The woman insisted and around noon her partner told her that the day before, he and the boy were working in a spot in Bacanora Street where he sells drugs. He added that soldiers arrived and he and the boy ran down an alley, the boy fell and did not respond so he left the boy there and ran away to his home.

The woman told her partner she was leaving to go find the boy, but her partner stopped her, said he would go instead and asked her to wait in the house.

As the minutes passed and she saw that her partner was not returning, she decided to go look for her son accompanied by some friends. When she arrived at the location she discovered her son inside a bag of dog food.

The funeral parlor in turn was called by police to remove the body.

Autopsy reveals boy was severely beaten

The autopsy carried out by the staff of the Attorney General of Justice (FGJ) of Sonora revealed that the cause of death was suffocation with trauma to the brain and abdomen.

The autopsy also revealed that the little boy named Yancarlos was beaten since he had trauma on several parts of his body.

A photo of the alleged stepfather of the boy is being distributed on Facebook as the main suspect of the murder. Authorities have not confirmed if the person in the photo is the suspect.
