Nogales Mexico border streets and avenues get sanitized by local health authorities

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – The Nogales Mexico border streets and avenues, get sanitized by local health authorities because Covid.

Local health authorities initiated a plan to sanitize the streets, sidewalks, and public spaces of the city to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Nogales border streets sanitized to prevent Covid

The Departments of Urban Infrastructure, Public Works and Urban Image, joined efforts to disinfect the Obregon Avenue and some important streets.

The sanitary campaign will continue on parks and hospitals of the city in a project with support from the machinery of the Prenosa company.

Urban Infrastructure chief, Cecilia Yépiz Reyna, explained that the idea is to decontaminate these areas where people mostly travel either on foot or by vehicle and thus be able to prevent Covid-19 infections.

Daily decontamination will continue for 40 days.

The decontamination efforrts started with Obregón, Plutarco Elías Calles, Tecnológico Avenue, and El Greco Boulevard. The plan will continue with the busiest streets in the city.

A mixture made of water, chlorine and foamy soap is applied to disinfect the areas.

To complete the tasks, 15 Urban Image and 18 Public Works workers will be participating.
