National Guard Attacked With Gunfire
SANTA ANA, SONORA, MX – National Guard elements were attacked with gunfire this afternoon by armed individuals who intercepted them on the Federal Highway, on the section from Santa Ana to Estacion Llano, Sonora.
According to police reports, agents repelled the attack and the armed individuals fled to the South toward Benjamin Hill, according to police reports.
The incident occurred this Thursday shortly before 2:00 pm when National Guard was driving on the road and intercepted several subjects aboard a white, four-door Jeep of recent model.
The suspects assaulted the officers with gunfire, who repelled the assault but could not stop the attackers.
