Military-Grade Material Found in Abandoned Car in Pitiquito

PITIQUITO, SONORA, MX – The National Guard finds magazines for rifles AK-47 and barret 50 during an operation in the early hours of Sunday in Pitiquito.

According to official reports, the discovery was made at 1:30 am, when officers were conducting ground reconnaissance on Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta street, where they found a red 2019 Nissan Titan truck without license plates.

The driver side door was open and when the National Guard members checked the interior they found three magazines for an AK-47 rifle, a magazine for a 50 caliber, 90 cartridges for an AK-47, and six for a Barret 50 caliber rifle.

The military-grade material and the car were secured and made available to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
