MEXICO CITY, MX – The United States Ambassador in Mexico, Christopher Landau, could not resist buying a coronavirus piñata during his visit to the Sonora Market.

“And I couldn’t resist the coronavirus piñata (I’m going to hit it really hard) or the eggs with confetti to celebrate a bit. It has been a difficult year for everyone ”, he shared on his official Twitter account.

The diplomat said he was delighted by September, the national month in Mexico, and its beautiful and colorful decorations.

“With all the papel picado that I bought this morning in the Sonora Market, I will be able to give parties to the Mexican for the rest of my life,” said the US ambassador.

In the interactions through the social network, he shared that he also bought the traditional noisemakers (matracas), in addition to greeting several citizens.
