From then on, non-essential travel from Mexico to the United States was banned, leaving access only for essential issues.
Border crossing for employment, medical appointment, educational institution, diplomatic service, international trade, and military operations, are considered as essential.
On the other side, border crossings from the United States to Mexico were never restricted; the border of Nogales was the only one to prohibit south-bound non-essential travel for approximately 68 hours.
Border crossing restrictions on international land ports were just extended until October 21, when it will be seven months since their implementation.
