Mariposa Port of Entry Hours of Operation Continue Without Changes

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – To help reduce the risks of Covid-19 in the period considered as the “peak” of the epidemic in Mexico, the Nogales Port Director, Juan Gim, announced that border ports will keep the same hours of operation as in recent weeks.

He announced that the Mariposa Port of Entry hours of operation will remain from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. as it has been operating over the past weeks.

He stressed the importance of continuing to strengthening the measures that have been implemented at the border ports and that the hours of operation will remain the same.

The director said that despite an increase in exports, the processing is still carried out quickly within the existing business hours therefore the hours will continue without changes until further notice.

The daily average of exports in Nogales, Mexico, in recent weeks has exceeded 1,200. Imports remain at a daily average of 350.

The Nogales Port Director reiterated that hours of operation will continue without changes from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mariposa Gate, Monday to Sunday. The commercial crossing will continue operating from Monday to Saturday.

The director urged carriers to take advantage of morning hours to process shipments more smoothly throughout the day.

The hourly time for exportations is Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed on Sunday.

For imports, the port will be open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday.

Empty trucks will be processed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.

For tourism and passengers the Mariposa Port schedule will be Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
