Marijuana Shipment Abandoned On the Road

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – State and military authorities seized a package with approximately 21 kilograms of marijuana after patrolling the road to El Bellotoso, south of the city.

The seizure happened over the weekend when in a coordinated operation PESP Sonora and SEDENAmx authorities carried out surveillance patrols in the south of the city of Nogales.

Authorities found the abandoned marijuana package on the side of the road when they were driving on Camino El Bellotoso.

Officers secured the package and turned it to Federal authorities for legal procedures.
