Marijuana Seeds Found On Commercial Bus

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SONORA, MX – A handgun and three bags with marijuana seeds, found by state and military authorities on a commercial bus.

According to information from state authorities, Mexican Army and State Public Security Police (PESP) agents found the seeds when they responded to a complaint report.

The seize happened on Tuesday at the Cucapah Military Security Post, located at kilometer 176.5 of the Sonoyta-San Luis Río Colorado highway section.

Sedena personnel reported inconsistencies in the load transported in a bus driven by Benito N and accompanied by Victor N.

When checking the luggage rack, there was a bag with bean seeds, but when scanned by military personnel, it showed irregularities.

When the bag was manually checked they found a .9mm caliber firearm and 3 wrappers with seeds.

The two detainees were referred to the federal authorities for follow-up on the case.
