Manufacturing Industries Temporarily Close

Manufacturing industries at the border of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico such as Chamberlain, MTD, M3 and Master Lock were the first ones to publicly announce that they will temporary close operations due to the emergency of Covid-19.
Through social networks these companies announced that in compliance with the provisions established in a decree from the state government and in favor of the health of workers, they have decided to temporarily add indefinitely pause their operations.
No border grouping has issued an official statement that provides a single list of companies that will temporarily close operations on the Mexican side of the border. Master lock is another company based in Nogales that temporarily closed their operations.
In Magdalena de Kino, the factory EDS that employs between 600 and 800 workers also closed its doors.
In Mexico, the federal government issued a public statement where they ask companies to pay full salary to the workers even if they temporarily close their operations.
