Man Killed, One Other Victim Injured After Shots Fired

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – One person was killed outside a liquor store and one more was wounded during an armed attack on Wednesday afternoon in East Nogales.

The deceased victim was identified as José Manuel Flores Gallardo, 30. The wounded victim was identified as Adolfo N, 22, who was admitted to the General Hospital with several firearm injuries.

The assault occurred outside the Six 5 de Mayo liquor store, where people anonymously reported to authorities that two individuals had been shot.

Paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross helped the wounded man, but they were not able to assist the other victim who no longer had vital-signs.

Authorities gathered evidence to initiate the official investigation into this case.
