Man Arrested For Transporting a Firearm

SONOYTA, SONORA, MX – Marco N was arrested by Public Safety State Police (PESP) and customs agents when he tried to introduce a handgun into Mexico.

According to PESP reports, workers of the San Emeterio Customs Section were alerted to the presence of the male subject in a 2007 black Chevrolet, Tahoe.

When the car was inspected custom workers found a .9mm caliber firearm with a magazine and 9 useful cartridges and the driver was arrested.

Marco N was informed of his rights and was detained by State Police and transferred to the Federal Attorney’s Office.
