Kidnapped Man is Rescued, 4 Detained

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SONORA, MX – A kidnapped man was rescued in an incident where four people were detained by state authorities.

According to data by the Attorney General’s Office in Sonora, the incident was around 10:00 pm on July 14 in the Altar neighborhood.

Through the 9-1-1 emergency line, residents of the Campestre neighborhood reported that a man was kidnapped and that the captors fled in a gold vehicle.

Authorities intercepted a Jeep, Cherokee that matched the characteristics of the reported car on Mexico Avenue, between 30th and 31st streets, in the Altar neighborhood.

Inside the car, there were five people; one of them asked the agents for help. The victim said he was beaten by the others aboard the car.

The detainees were identified as 20-year-old Hibran N; 21-year-old Jose N and 24-year-old Bertha N, as well as a minor of 14 years.
