Industry Donates Material To Sanitize Buses

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – The industrial manufacturing community of Nogales donated 1,000 liters of sanitizing solution as well as pumps, and protective equipment that will be used to disinfect urban public service buses.

Genaro Vecerra Álvarez, executive director of Index Nogales, highlighted that the donations are from the Project Nogales Committee as part of their social compromise work.

This was one of a total of five deliveries that they calculate will be enough material to complete 50,000 bus sanitizations.

Personnel of the Transport Delegation of Nogales received the donation. The official delivery happened in Index Nogales in Nogales Industrial Park.

Daniel Rivera, president of the Nogales Project Committee of Index Nogales, highlighted the work that the industry has completed in front of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rivera added that there has been constant care by the industry to keep facilities sanitized for the benefit and safety of manufacturing employees that continue working during this emergency.

In Nogales, the urban public transportation service normally operates with close to 170 buses, but during the Covid-19 contingency, it is only operating with 52 buses.
