Important Message for U.S. Citizens

NOGALES, SONORA, MX.- The United States Consul in Nogales, Sonora, Virginia Staab, issued a message asking Americans to return to the US.

In the message, released through social networks, she indicates that the safety of her fellow citizens is the top priority and that the U.S. State Department has issued a level 4 health alert.

“This means that US citizens should avoid international travel due to the impact of Covid-19, so if you are a person who normally resides in the United States, you should prepare to return immediately,” the diplomat said.

Unless, she continues, you are prepared to stay in Mexico indefinitely.

She reminded everyone that the ports of entry in Arizona and Sonora into the United States remain open for citizens and permanent residents.

She additionally reminded everyone to check the status of international crossing ports before traveling at www.cbp.gov.
