Illicit Graves with Human Remains Found in Nogales

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – Graves with human remains continue to be found in the northern region of Sonora and during the course of last week, a new discovery was made.

The searches were conducted by the Colectivo Madres Buscadoras supported by the National Guard.

The remains were found near the neighborhoods Colinas del Sol, CTS CROC and Benito Juarez, in the city of Nogales, Sonora.

Following common indications such as foul smells, loose and disturbed soil, as well as the presence of insects, the group moved to the CTS CROC neighborhood.

They excavated and were able to recover human skeletal remains.

In the searches in the Benito Juarez and Colinas del Sol area there were no findings.
