Illegal Immigrants Rescued by Yuma Sector Border Patrol
YUMA, ARIZONA, US – Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents rescued four illegal immigrants that had been in the desert for multiple days and had run out of food and water.
At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Monday, the Yuma Sector Operations Center received a forwarded 911 call from a person stating that he was traveling in the desert with several others and they were in need of urgent assistance.
According to a press release, Yuma Station and Wellton Station agents were immediately dispatched to the area.
Meanwhile, the group was advised to walk to a nearby US Border Patrol rescue beacon and wait for assistance. A short time later, agents located the group who stated they were thirsty but otherwise in good health.
The four apprehended illegal aliens were expelled from the country after being assisted.
