Hospital Occupancy in Nogales Decreases

NOGALES, SONORA, MX –   Local authorities report a drop in Covid-19 patients hospitalized in Nogales, and they expect that in a few days the city risk level also drops from red to orange.

Alberto Dicochea Aguilar, director of Local Health, released a report in which he assures that the incidence of patients and deaths has been decreasing.

He explained that the General Hospital is at 39% occupancy; 73% at IMSS and 75% at Isssteson, based on reports from the Sonora Secretary of Health as of July 14.

The doctor added that on July 16, of the 382 cases confirmed in Sonora, only 7 were in Nogales.

“Which means that we do decrease in terms of the incidence of the disease,” he said. He added that there are currently 70 active patients while 275 people have recovered. In Nogales, the death toll by Covid-19 is 175.
