Hand Grenade Abandoned in Residential Area
SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SONORA, MX – A hand grenade was found by the Public Safety State Police (PESP) agents in coordination with the Mexican Army.
On the morning of Thursday, June 5, a call was received at the 911 emergency phone line. The person reported the discovery of an explosive device located in the neighborhood Residencias.
Agents of the PESP were dispatched to the site and upon arrival, they found a hand grenade in a vacant lot on Alvaro Obregon street.
Bomb Squad Team from the Mexican Army was requested on the scene. Upon inspection, they reported that the device was without an explosive charge, so it was secured and made available to the corresponding authority.
