Grocery Stores Will Close Earlier in Caborca

CABORCA, SONORA, MX – Local authorities in Caborca ​​ordered that the food sales establishments such as markets, stores, and street food stalls close earlier starting June 11.

According to a statement from the City of Caborca, food establishments should close between seven and eight pm in Caborca. Including all supermarkets, mini-super, convenience stores, as well as stationary and semi-fixed food stalls.

The request made by the Caborca ​​City Council is a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Seeking to reduce urban mobility, the request was accepted and approved.

The community was also asked not to leave their homes after six in the afternoon. Only cases allowed are for an emergency need or essential cause.

Starting Thursday, stationary and semi-stationary food sale such as food trucks will close no later than eight o’clock at night.

They warned that failure to comply with these measures may constitute administrative sanctions and may even lead to the closure of the premises or the cancellation of the corresponding permits.
